Pete 'Guitar' The Breakfast Club Eighties Cover Band
Pete 'Lead Guitar'
It was a wet and windy day in down town Lincolnshire when Pete came screaming into this world in the early to mid to late sixties with a ferocity that lead his parents and the surrounding neighbours to erroneously believe that the Ruskies had dropped the bomb! When Pete reached his teens he started playing the guitar that his Dad bought for himself (but failed to wrap his chubby digits round the fretboard of). A germ of talent was spotted so it was decided to get him taught properly. As luck would have it his Mom worked with the wife of the guitar genius Adrian Ingram so she blagged personal tuition for him (see www.adrianingram.com ) with whom Pete earned his classical guitar qualifications. He then moved on to study Jazz and Blues at his workshops based at Aston University. During this time he taught his then best mate, Rushbo, the basics of bass guitar playing. Rushbo then went on to be a music teacher and toured with several influential bands including "Druidspear" then the UKs biggest pagan rock band (he now plays bass for "Anorakula", a Birmingham based covers band with a staunch following).

The "Lines" were gigging in Redditch in the mid '80s when Pete met our illustrious keyboard player Ade who at the time was playing electric triangle with Fireball XL8 (or something like that). EE, Pete and Ade started gigging with a blues outfit called Back to Back who later changed their name to R
In mid 2000 Pete decided on a new musical direction and formed an alternative rock/american punk covers band called "Sheepsniper" to commemorate the recent foot and mouth epidemic. Ideas above their station and a much needed personnel change caused the band to swap the bass player for one that could actually play and rename themselves "Audio Reality Control" or "A.R.C." with the purpose of writing original material. But they eventually had to face the fact that the lead singer was a good guy but couldn't sing, and so A.R.C. disbanded.
Pete then decided to retire from the gig scene and assembled a recording studio where he writes, performs, records, mixes and masters his own compositions for his own amusement under the pseudonim "Catgod". The first album "Reality Check" has been completed.
However the next album may take a smidge longer because in early 2006 Ade and Pete met up again in a pub in Bromsgrove. Ade accidentally mentioned that his new band was looking for a guitar player and before he could retract the statement Pete offered his services and Ade was forced to accept. "The Breakfast Club" was born!
